International conferences address pediatric AKI and chronic kidney disease
Medical professionals are convening for specialized conferences to address acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
At Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the Third International IPNA-Endorsed Teaching Course focused on pediatric AKI and renal replacement therapy. The event aimed to raise awareness of AKI in Bangladesh and South Asia, highlighting risks such as sepsis, pneumonia, and nephrotoxic medications. The conference provided a platform for pediatric nephrologists and intensivists to discuss prevention, early diagnosis, and management techniques, including peritoneal dialysis.
In Ottawa, the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development scheduled a conference for January 23, 2026, focusing on hypertension and chronic kidney disease. Designed for primary care physicians and healthcare professionals, the program aims to integrate new data and guidelines into clinical practice and improve patient referral pathways.
