International congresses to address innovation in social and tourism sectors

Two upcoming international congresses will focus on technological and sustainable innovation in different sectors.

In Pasto, Colombia, the III International Congress of Social Innovation (CONIIS Nexo Innova) will take place on October 22 and 23. The event features national and international speakers discussing artificial intelligence, automation, and sustainability as they apply to businesses and regional development. The congress is organized by several institutions, including the Nariño Governorate's Undersecretariat of Innovation, the Pasto Chamber of Commerce, and various local universities.

In Gijón, Spain, the VIII Congress of Innovation in the Tourism Sector, organized by Otea, is scheduled for November 25 and 26 at the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura. More than 300 professionals will gather to discuss challenges such as new technologies, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and evolving traveler habits. The program is divided into three blocks: the application of AI in tourism, generative tourism and its impact on territory and the environment, and other industry-specific challenges.
