International Cricket Council launches Umpire Level 2 Course
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the launch of its new Umpire Level 2 Course, effective 31 October. This program represents the highest level of umpire education and accreditation currently offered to ICC Members under its global Training and Education framework.
The initiative follows the ICC Umpire Level 2 Global Workforce Training held in Manila, Philippines, from 26 to 29 October. That session involved 20 Master Educators from 13 countries, representing both Full and Associate Members, to ensure consistent delivery of course materials and assessment methods worldwide.
The first regional Level 2 course is scheduled to take place in Manila from 31 October to 3 November, involving 18 officials from eight ICC Members in the East Asia-Pacific region. The new curriculum builds upon existing Foundation and Level 1 courses to create a more structured development pathway for match officials.
