International Development Center adopts Microsoft 365 backup service

As the use of Microsoft 365 increases, the risk of data loss due to user error, administrator mistakes, and targeted cyberattacks is rising. Organizations must recognize the ‘shared responsibility model,’ which dictates that data management remains the responsibility of the utilizing enterprise rather than the cloud provider.

In response to these security challenges, the International Development Center (IDCJ) has adopted ‘BitoB Protect,’ a Microsoft 365 backup service provided by the IT consulting firm BitoB. IDCJ, which specializes in international cooperation and development projects for organizations such as JICA and various government ministries, operates across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The adoption aims to protect project data managed globally from potential loss during emergencies or cyber incidents.
