International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir to debut in Srinagar
The inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 10. The event will feature over 130 films from more than 40 countries, with the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar serving as the primary venue. Additional activities are planned for Jammu and Gulmarg.
The festival expects more than 300 guests from India and abroad. Notable special guests include filmmakers Ramesh Sippy and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The festival jury includes acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan, alongside Dorothee Wenner, Keiko Bang, and Himansu Sekhar Khatua.
Organizers aim to highlight the local culture and natural beauty of the region through themed decorations and collaborations with the Department of Floriculture and the Culture Department.
