International folklore festivals announce upcoming cultural performances

The 40th edition of the International Folklore and Pollino Park Festival is scheduled to take place in Castrovillari from August 19 to 23, 2026. This year, the festival will feature American folk dance traditions represented by the Idaho Rocky Mountain Express from the United States. The ensemble will perform a variety of styles, including American Clogging, Square Dance, Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Native American Hoop Dance.

In separate cultural news, the Sardinian association Città di Quarto is set to travel to Portugal to participate in the FolkFaro festival from August 16 to 22, 2026. The group aims to promote Sardinian culture and strengthen international ties through ethnographic exchange, reuniting with the Grupo Folclórico de Faro.
