International football: Croatia leads Spain while El Salvador defeats Martinique

In UEFA Nations League action, Croatia took a 1-0 lead against Spain following a header from Ivan Perisic in the 16th minute. The goal came after a period of pressure from the Croatian side, which has seen multiple scoring opportunities from players such as Igor Matanovic and Josip Stanisic.

In CONCACAF Nations League play, El Salvador secured a victory against Martinique, highlighted by an early goal from Valladares in the 3rd minute. The win is critical for El Salvador, who faced the threat of relegation to League B after previous heavy losses to Guatemala and Jamaica. The result also carries implications for the coaching staff, as Hernán Darío ‘Bolillo’ Gómez had previously placed his position at risk following recent poor performances.
