International forums to address China-Europe talent and Global South AI modernization
The 2026 China-Europe Talent Forum was held in Beijing, co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Talent Work and the Adecco Group. Under the theme of developing China-Europe partnerships and innovation cooperation, the forum brought together political figures, international organization representatives, and experts to discuss talent cultivation in the age of artificial intelligence and ways to deepen cooperation between the two regions.
Beijing State-owned Capital Operation and Management Co., Ltd. participated in the event to support Beijing’s development as a high-level talent hub. Through its subsidiary FESCO and the joint venture Adecco, the organization aims to facilitate the internationalization of talent services and create mechanisms for the two-way flow of engineering and technical professionals between China and Europe.
Separately, the 2026 Global South Modernization Forum is scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, on September 30. Co-hosted by several Chinese institutions including the State Council Information Office and Peking University alongside Cairo University, the forum will focus on the theme “The AI Wave: Opportunities and Challenges for Global South Modernization.” The event aims to explore how artificial intelligence can empower various industries, improve livelihoods, and bridge the digital divide within Global South nations.
