International GT Open sees victories at Hockenheimring
The International GT Open held its sixth round at the Hockenheimring from September 11 to 13, 2026, featuring intense competition across multiple classes.
Scuderia Villorba Corse secured its first GT3 class victory in the series since 2015. The crew of Leonardo Moncini and Rodrigo Testa, driving the number 63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2, dominated Race 1. Moncini secured pole position and led the first half of the 70-minute race before handing over to Testa, who maintained the lead to finish solo. The team faced more challenges in Race 2, finishing 17th during a race heavily impacted by rain and safety cars.
FACH AUTO TECH also experienced a volatile weekend. After a technical issue required an engine replacement on Friday, the team saw mixed results. While the number 12 car, driven by Lucas Wolf and Joel Monegro, achieved a class victory in the AM category, the number 11 car faced significant setbacks. Despite strong qualifying performances by Alexander Schwarzer and Alexander Fach, the number 11 car suffered damage from contact and struggled through heavy rain during Sunday's race.
