International hotel groups expand presence in Morocco

International hotel chains are expanding their presence in Morocco as the country prepares for increased tourism, including the 2030 World Cup co-hosted with Spain and Portugal.

Alliances Développement Immobilier (ADI), led by Alami Lazraq, is strengthening its partnership with the Turkish hotel chain Rixos. This collaboration aims to introduce luxury accommodations and world-class service to the Moroccan hospitality landscape, integrating local culture with Rixos' global expertise.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans to grow its Moroccan portfolio to 30 establishments by 2030. The group intends to expand its footprint in Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, and Fez, while maintaining development in Casablanca and Marrakech. Radisson's strategy includes diversifying hotel formats—such as business hotels, serviced residences, and resorts—and prioritizing the transformation of existing properties and partnerships with local owners. This expansion follows successful developments in Al Hoceima, Saïdia, and Taghazout, which have contributed to local job creation.
