International human rights discussions held by China and Venezuela

China has expressed its willingness to collaborate with the international community to improve human rights protection and global governance. During the 63rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, China and the United Nations Office at Geneva co-hosted an exhibition titled ‘Accessibility for All’ at the Palais des Nations. The event showcased Chinese practices regarding accessibility in technology, culture, employment, and the rule of law, featuring smart assistive devices and art by persons with disabilities.

In Venezuela, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez met with representatives from Human Rights Watch (HRW) in Caracas. The meeting, which included HRW Global Deputy Director Federico Borrello, focused on strengthening human rights and adopting measures to promote pluralism of expression and democratic coexistence. This dialogue occurs as HRW continues to call for judicial and electoral reforms, the repeal of certain laws, and the release of individuals it considers to be arbitrarily detained.
