International Music Day celebrated with cultural events in Romania and Moldova
International Music Day, established in 1975 by violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin through the International Music Council, was observed on October 1 with various cultural activities.
In Petroșani, Romania, the ‘Valeriu Butulescu’ Municipal Library hosted a book exhibition dedicated to music. The collection features works on universal and Romanian music history, composers, and performers to highlight the role of music in human culture.
In Moldova, celebrations included events at the Oprișeni High School and an instrumental music concert at the ‘Iosif Cogut’ Art School in Ciudei.
