International news highlights: AfD controversy and Côte-Nord updates

In Europe, a controversy emerged involving a member of the leadership of ‘Generation Deutschland’, the youth organization of the AfD, who posted a map depicting Alsace and Moselle as part of Germany. The individual has since left the organization, and there are no official political movements in Germany seeking the annexation of these regions.

Additionally, Greta Thunberg appeared at Lycée Paul Eluard in Saint Denis during high school blockades in France.

In Canada, regional news from the Côte-Nord includes Meggie Richard expressing her intent to be a field-based deputy for the Parti québécois in Duplessis. Other local updates include the Recyk & frip thrift store approaching its 10th anniversary, technical issues at the Sept-Îles Curling Club, and a $1 million loss for Santé Québec Côte-Nord following a fire at Père-Divet.
