International scientific congresses focus on infectious and inflammatory diseases

The Institut Pasteur de Lille will host the International Congress on Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (ICIID 2026) on December 8–9, 2026. Organized by the CPER Resist-Omics, the scientific exchange will focus on the interactions between infection and inflammation, immunity, autoimmune diseases, antibiotic resistance, and innovative therapeutic approaches.

Separately, the Institut Pasteur de Madagascar (IPM) participated in the Options XIII conference for the Control of Influenza held in Washington, DC. Researchers from the IPM presented findings on the evolutionary dynamics of seasonal influenza viruses in Madagascar between 2019 and 2025, as well as genomic surveillance of influenza and the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2. The participation highlighted the ‘One Health’ approach, specifically regarding avian influenza surveillance in live poultry markets.
