International Skating Union raises prize pool to $10.5 million
The International Skating Union (ISU) Council announced a doubling of its total prize‑money pool, increasing it from $5.4 million to $10.54 million. The additional $3.54 million will be allocated to competition prize money, while $1.6 million is earmarked for a new World Rankings reward. A further $2 million will be distributed to national federations to help cover travel costs for athletes who attended ISU events over the past three seasons. The Council also noted several smaller updates to its financial policies.
These changes aim to boost incentives for skaters and support federations, potentially affecting athletes and officials worldwide.
