International sporting events held in Rijeka and Novo Mesto

Major sporting events are taking place in the region, including the World Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. The competition features 240 young divers from 46 countries, with local athlete Lana Jambrović among the participants. The event is being held at the Kantrida pool and is scheduled to run through August 28.

In Novo Mesto, Slovenia, the Krka 2026 International Handball Tournament is underway. The Sisak handball team is participating, with a scheduled match against Sesveta Triglav osiguranja on October 20. Other participants in the tournament include the host MRK Krka and the Kuwait national team.
