International sporting events scheduled for late August 2026

Various sporting events are scheduled for late August 2026. In Poland, an international triathlon competition will take place on August 23, 2026. The event will cause significant traffic disruptions in the Dobrcz area, with road closures planned from 7:00 to 17:00. The cycling portion of the race will follow a route starting at Spacerowa Street near the WOPR center, proceeding through Kotomierska Street toward Kotomierz, ending on Długa Street, and continuing from Bydgoska to Niemcza.

In Austria, ski jumper Janni Reisenauer led the morning training session for the FIS Cup in Villach on August 22, 2026. Reisenauer achieved a jump of 90.5 meters. Other top performers in the training session included Tuomas Kinnunen, who recorded 94 meters, and Alessandro Batby with 83.5 meters. The FIS Cup competition in Villach is scheduled to continue with individual competitions on August 23.
