International stars join Melbourne WBBL teams

Major roster updates have been confirmed for the upcoming Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) season. West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin has committed to a third season with the Melbourne Renegades. Her return follows the re-signing of teammate Hayley Matthews, reuniting the duo that played a key role in the team's first WBBL title win.

In a separate move, the Melbourne Stars have signed England vice-captain Charlie Dean for her WBBL debut. Dean joins a squad that includes fellow English players Amy Jones and Danny Gibson. She replaces South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, who withdrew from the league to focus on international cricket. Dean's arrival is expected to bolster the Stars' bowling depth and batting stability.
