Brazil hosts series of innovation, climate and finance events
A range of events across Brazil highlighted the country's focus on bioeconomy, climate resilience, finance and inclusive sports. The Suframa agency presented tax‑incentive opportunities for bioeconomy startups in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, while the +Sociobio program mapped 145 socio‑biodiversity initiatives along the São Paulo coast. In São Paulo, the CNseg and FGV convened insurers, researchers and policymakers to discuss climate‑risk modelling and the role of insurance in adaptation, and a separate climate‑risk summit examined the challenges posed by El Niño and extreme weather.
Financial innovation was showcased at several gatherings: CONSEDAIA introduced a receivable‑based funding fund for industrial firms, the Secovi‑SP forum opened the São Paulo Climate Week with discussions on sustainable real‑estate finance, and the SP2B event gathered global venture‑capital and AI experts. The Campinas Innovation Week announced curators for five thematic tracks covering ecosystem policy, business investment, impact, connectivity and global links. Meanwhile, Impact Hub Manaus partnered with Swissnex to connect Brazilian and Swiss bioeconomy startups, and the Inova Amazônia Summit was scheduled in Acre to promote regional innovation.
Sports and inclusion were also featured: São Paulo concluded the Vamos Passear festival with bike, walking and kids‑run activities, and Terrawind sponsored the first PCD futsal cup in São Paulo. Additionally, the Rota Bioceânica bridge near completion was highlighted as a future trade corridor linking Brazil to Pacific markets.
