Japan guest country at 90th Thessaloniki International Fair

The 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) has concluded, marking a significant milestone as it celebrates a century since its first edition in 1926. This year's event featured Japan as the guest country, highlighting the 'Takumi' philosophy of craftsmanship and precision through technology, innovation, and cultural displays.

The Japanese Embassy in Greece described the participation as a “great success,” noting that the event served to strengthen bilateral relations. Takaaki Nemoto, Deputy Head of the Embassy, emphasized that the goal is to translate the momentum generated during the fair into long-term investments, trade, and business partnerships between Greece and Japan.

In addition to the commercial and technological focus, the fair included diverse cultural activities, such as kimono presentations, calligraphy demonstrations, and bonsai workshops. The event also integrated economic governance and innovation through specialized sections like the AKADEMIA center and the new 'Economy' thematic unit.
