International wine competitions award medals to San Rafael and Spanish wineries
Five wines from San Rafael, Argentina, earned gold and silver medals at the international Vinus competition. The contest featured over 2,000 samples from 40 countries. Among the winners were the Syrah 2026 from Escuela 4-006 Pascual Iaccarini, Familia Salvarredi Malbec Roble 2025, and Viñas del Tango Malbec 2025. Grand State also secured two silver medals for its Muñeco Rebelde Malbec 2025 and Viñas del Tango Selección Malbec 2024.
In Europe, the Spanish winery Señorío de Sarría received three gold medals at the 39th MUNDUS VINI Summer Tasting in Germany. Their Viñedo Cinco 2025 was named ‘Best of Show Spain – Rosé’, recognized as the highest-rated Spanish rosé in the competition. This wine is crafted from Garnacha grapes from vines over 70 years old in the Navarra region. Additionally, Señorío de Sarría Rosado 2025 and Señorío de Sarría Reserva 2019 both received gold medals.
