International Youth Exchange Programs Mobilize Participants in Bursa and Düzce, Turkey
Young people from fifteen nations gathered in Mudanya, Bursa, under an intercultural exchange programme to carry out a coastal and street clean‑up. Twenty‑five volunteers aged 17‑21, including participants from Indonesia, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Finland, Germany, Spain, Austria, Lithuania, Norway and Turkey, removed litter with a focus on plastic waste and promoted messages such as “Clean environment, happy world”.
In Düzce, a separate Erasmus+ youth project brought together thirty participants from Turkey, Malta, Portugal, Poland and Hungary. The programme featured workshops on intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, active citizenship and conflict resolution, addressing challenges faced by refugee, disabled and economically disadvantaged youths. Participants produced short films, visual works and digital content to spread inclusive messages and developed proposals for community projects in their home countries.
