Internet Computer (ICP) achieves record weekly revenue

The Internet Computer blockchain, operated by DFINITY, recorded its first weekly revenue exceeding $85,000, reaching $86,172 in a recent seven-day period. If this level of economic activity is sustained, it would represent approximately $4.48 million in annual revenue.

Network revenue is driven by the use of canister smart contracts for decentralized applications and on-chain computing. Users pay for computation and storage via cycles, which are generated by converting ICP tokens. This mechanism links network utility directly to token consumption.

Market analysts are monitoring the ICP price, which has recently shown a double-bottom structure near the $2.90 support level. While increased revenue indicates growing demand for the network's computing infrastructure, long-range price forecasts for the token remain inconsistent across various projection models.
