Internet Court Launches to Resolve AI Agent Disputes Without Human Intervention

A consortium of 27 technology and blockchain firms, led by the GenLayer Foundation, announced the launch of the Internet Court, an open‑standard platform designed to settle disputes between AI agents automatically. The system integrates payment, escrow and adjudication protocols, allowing AI‑driven transactions to be resolved quickly and cheaply without human courts. Participants include cryptocurrency exchange OKX, engineering firm Matter Labs and 0G Labs. GenLayer CEO David Riudor explained that the goal is to create a unified dispute‑resolution layer for the emerging “agentic economy.”

In parallel, the Linux Foundation introduced the x402 initiative, backed by more than 40 organisations such as Visa, Mastercard, Stripe and Amazon Web Services, to build internet‑native payment infrastructure for software agents. The project aims to enable machine‑to‑machine micropayments, with the Casper Network already upgrading its CSPR‑USD stablecoin for x402 micropayment use cases. Both efforts address the growing need for autonomous agents to conduct purchases and resolve contractual issues without human oversight.
