Internet Initiative Japan registers cloud services for government procurement

Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) has announced that several of its cloud services have been registered for Japanese government procurement.

Three IIJ services—the IIJ Cloud Data Platform Service, the IIJ Managed Database Service, and the IIJ Secure MX Service for Government—have met the security standards required for registration on the Information system Security Management and Assessment Program (ISMAP) cloud service list. ISMAP is a system designed to ensure security standards in government procurement by evaluating cloud services based on specific government requirements.

Additionally, three other IIJ services—the IIJ ID Service, the IIJ ID Governance Management Service, and the IIJ Cloud Data Platform Service—have been registered on the Digital Marketplace (DMP) operated by the Digital Agency. The DMP serves as a procurement platform for cloud software (SaaS) intended for use by administrative organs and local governments, allowing them to compare security, functionality, and pricing to facilitate smoother procurement processes.
