Internet Week 2026 to focus on threat intelligence sharing
The 30th anniversary of Internet Week (IW) will be held in Tokyo in November 2026, centered on the theme ‘Learning how to survive the AI era.’ A key program, titled ‘Turning the World’s Collective Intelligence into ‘Usable Defense’ – Practice of Sharing and Utilizing Threat Information,’ will address the evolution of cybersecurity.
Experts from the NTT Group and the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) will discuss shifting cybersecurity strategies from reactive monitoring to proactive threat hunting. The session aims to move beyond the mere volume of Indicators of Compromise (IOC) toward sharing high-quality, rich, and machine-readable intelligence. The program will utilize the open-source Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) to demonstrate practical methods for structuring and sharing actionable data to counter increasingly sophisticated attacks.
