Interpol tracking location of Muhammed Yusoff Rawther in UK

Interpol in Manchester is currently attempting to locate Muhammed Yusoff Rawther, a former research assistant who has been in the United Kingdom since June 2025. Following his acquittal on drug trafficking and possession of two imitation pistols charges on June 12, 2025, Yusoff has reportedly applied for human rights asylum in the UK.

During a hearing at the Court of Appeal, Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd. Asnawi Abu Hanipah stated that a request was sent to Interpol Manchester on July 22, and the agency is currently gathering additional information. As his exact whereabouts remain unknown, the prosecution has requested a new mention date. The court noted that proceedings may continue in his absence, as previous indications suggested he was willing to participate via video link.
