Interreg Cooperation Day held in Grebaje Valley
The Ministry of European Affairs, supported by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic program, hosted the Interreg Cooperation Day in the Grebaje Valley in Gusinje. The event brought together representatives from various institutions, the European Union Delegation to Montenegro, local communities, and Interreg project users.
This year's event focused on connecting border communities, exploring the development potential of northern Montenegro, nature protection, and security in mountainous regions. Bojana Bošković, State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs, emphasized that the value of Interreg cooperation lies in its ability to create new development opportunities for local communities while preserving natural values.
Liselot Isakson from the EU Delegation noted that the Grebaje Valley illustrates how border communities share common natural, developmental, and social challenges. Sanel Balić, Mayor of Gusinje, expressed satisfaction with hosting the event, highlighting the importance of cooperation in utilizing the region's potential to allow residents to build their futures locally.
