Interreg Greece-Italy launches 5 million euro fund for small projects

The eighth call for the Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021-2027 program has been launched, offering approximately 5 million euros to fund small-scale cooperation projects. This funding cycle aims to strengthen ties between Italy and Greece through initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, culture, tourism, and administrative capacity building.

Eligible applicants include public entities, non-profit organizations, and third-sector entities operating in the Italian regions of Calabria, Puglia, and Basilicata, as well as in Greece. The program, which has a total value exceeding 100 million euros, is part of the EU Strategy for the Cooperation of Regions in the Mediterranean (EUSEIR).

The current call is divided into two main areas: supporting the circular economy through sustainable tourism and culture, and reinforcing cooperation via macro-regional strategies. The deadline for applications has been extended to October 19.
