Interreg Großregion approves 41 cross-border projects

The Interreg Großregion program has approved 41 cross-border projects aimed at fostering citizen exchange within the Greater Region. Following a meeting at the Saarland State Chancellery, the decision committee confirmed that these projects will receive EU funding.

Approximately 215,900 euros of the funding is designated for Saarland-based entities, including schools and associations. The approved initiatives cover a diverse range of activities, such as German-French cycling events, student exchanges in electrical engineering, choral concerts, and local environmental actions. The program specifically targets small-scale, often volunteer-led civil society projects through simplified application processes and advisory support.
