At Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich, Huawei Digital Power launched the 2026 PV & ESS Safety Industry Summit, gathering experts, insurers and industry leaders to address safety risks, fire‑protection gaps and insurance coverage for large‑scale photovoltaics and battery storage. Huawei vice‑president Xia Hesheng stressed that safety is a “necessity, not an option,” and called for new testing data such as UL 9540A results and 24‑hour technical support for fire‑fighters. German battery‑storage capacity was noted at 19 GW, with regulators urged to update safety standards and address the rise in battery‑fire incidents.

During the same exhibition, SAJ presented its CHS3 solution, an AI‑driven hardware platform that combines a 1250 V high‑voltage MPPT architecture with integrated static‑transfer switching and liquid‑cooling. The system promises up to a 20 % reduction in balance‑of‑system costs, easier retrofit of existing PV plants, and improved solar utilisation by about 2 %. Built‑in safety features include gas‑detection, rapid string‑level disconnection and real‑time EMS control, aiming to enhance both performance and reliability of commercial‑scale solar‑plus‑storage projects.
