Intesa Sanpaolo expands financial advisory network across Europe and Egypt
Intesa Sanpaolo, under the leadership of CEO Carlo Messina, is expanding its wealth‑management business by creating a new network of financial advisors modeled on its Banca Fideuram subsidiary. The International Banks division, headed by Paola Papanicolau, has already placed the first advisors in Slovakia and Hungary and plans to extend the network to Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, Albania, Bosnia‑Herzegovina, Moldova, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Egypt.
The 2026‑2029 business plan targets roughly 1,200 financial advisors and 2,500 relationship managers, aiming to serve up to one million clients in the group’s international markets. The strategy combines personalized advice with technology such as BlackRock’s Aladdin Wealth platform, and integrates investment products from Eurizon and insurance solutions from Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni.
