Into the Wind combines Ghibli aesthetics with delivery gameplay
Into the Wind is an upcoming open-world life simulator that blends visual aesthetics inspired by Studio Ghibli with delivery mechanics reminiscent of Death Stranding. Developed by Bloom & Gloom Games and published by Three Friends, the game follows a protagonist who inherits a delivery business from their uncle, Umberto, following his mysterious disappearance.
Players navigate the fictional Santa Rosa archipelago—an environment inspired by Adriatic landscapes—using Ermes, a sentient vehicle that functions as both a motorcycle and a plane. The gameplay emphasizes strategic cargo management, where factors such as weight, fuel, wind, and weather conditions directly impact travel and vehicle performance. Players can also encounter aerial pirates and use resources earned from deliveries to upgrade their equipment.
The title is expected to launch in early access on Steam and has already garnered over 50,000 wishlist additions. Beyond delivery missions, the game includes life simulation elements, allowing players to interact with residents and customize their homes.
