Carnival Glory passenger arrested for assaulting children on board

On July 26, 2024, a 44‑year‑old Georgia man, David Lawrence Crosby II, was accused of striking two children playing tag in a hallway aboard the Carnival Glory cruise ship departing Port Canaveral, Florida. Security‑camera footage showed Crosby, described as heavily intoxicated, hitting one child in the face, causing a bloody lip and head pain, and another in the stomach, causing abdominal pain. He was taken into custody when the ship docked in Port Canaveral, booked on two felony counts of child abuse without great bodily harm, and released on a $20,000 bond. Crosby pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for an arraignment on Aug. 25. Carnival Cruise Line said its security team responded immediately, confined Crosby to his cabin for the remainder of the voyage, placed him on a Do‑Not‑Sail list, and has not issued further comment.
