Intracom Defence to supply WiSPRevo systems for Leopard 2A8 tanks

Intracom Defence (IDE) has secured a contract with KNDS Deutschland to supply its WiSPRevo Communication and Information System (CIS) for newly manufactured Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks intended for the international market.

The WiSPRevo system integrates next-generation digital communications and networking capabilities into the Leopard 2A8 platform. It is designed to facilitate seamless connectivity between crew members, tactical radios, command and control systems, sensors, and computing applications. The system features an open and evolvable architecture, allowing for future upgrades to C4ISR capabilities throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.

A key feature of the technology is Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR), which is engineered to operate in the high-noise environments typical of armored vehicles. This technology aims to improve crew situational awareness and ensure clear communication while protecting hearing in compliance with EU Directive 2003/10/EC.
