Intrant opens new driver's license office in Moca

The National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) has officially opened a new driver's license office in Moca, Espaillat province. The facility is designed to serve approximately 70,000 citizens in Moca and surrounding areas.

According to Intrant Executive Director Juan Manuel Méndez García, the new office aims to decentralize services, reduce waiting times, and expand operational coverage. The facility has the capacity to issue and renew up to 200 licenses per day. Services provided at the location include license issuance, renewal, registration, theoretical and practical driving exams, and visual evaluations.

This marks the second such office opened under Méndez's leadership, following a previous opening in Cotuí. The initiative is expected to directly benefit roughly 66,770 drivers, based on 2025 vehicle fleet statistics from the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII).
