Intrepid Travel launches Kimberley region adventure competition
Intrepid Travel and Tourism Western Australia have launched a new marketing campaign titled ‘The Kimberley Calls’ to promote the Kimberley region. The initiative offers four Australians named Kimberley, Kimberly, Kym, Kimmi, or similar variations the chance to win a 10-day adventure valued at approximately $7,500 each.
The prize includes return flights, accommodation, transport, and meals for a small-group departure in 2027. The itinerary spans from Broome (Rubibi) to Kununurra (Goonoonoorrang), featuring red rock gorges, freshwater pools, and remote wilderness areas such as Purnululu National Park.
To enter, participants must explain in 25 words or less why the Kimberley calls them or someone they know. The competition is open to the public and travel advisors, with entries closing on 11 November 2026. Intrepid Travel reported that bookings for its 14-day Kimberley Trail have increased by nearly 50 per cent year-on-year.
