Intrepid Travel reports record growth in September

Intrepid Travel has reported a record month of activity, driven by significant surges in both the Australian and Canadian markets. In September, the operator saw more than 35,000 customers, resulting in an 11% year-on-year increase in monthly departed revenue.

Australian travelers represented 43% of the company’s global customer base, with top destinations including Vietnam, Morocco, India, and Egypt. The company also noted a 145% year-on-year increase in domestic Australian travel.

Canada has emerged as Intrepid’s fastest-growing market globally, with Canadian bookings increasing by 48% year-over-year in September. Year-to-date bookings from Canada are up 21%. This growth is attributed to increased brand investment, including presence at the Toronto International Film Festival, and new distribution partnerships such as a deal with Air Canada Vacations.
