Intro Holding to invest $270 million in Kemet data center

Intro Holding plans to invest $270 million in the first phase of the ‘Kemet’ data center project located in the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, within the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The project aims to reach a total capacity of 80 megawatts and will provide cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and digital transformation solutions.

As a Tier III rated facility, the Kemet data center is intended to be the first of its kind in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, serving major corporations that require advanced data hosting and processing capabilities. The project is designed to meet growing demand within Egypt and serve regional and international markets, supporting Egypt's goal of becoming a regional hub for digital services.

During a meeting between Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, and Intro Holding board member Sherif Mohamed Abdel Fattah, officials reviewed the project's executive plans. Discussions included completed engineering designs, contracts signed with suppliers for equipment, and the implementation timeline for the project's various stages.
