Intrum targets financial recovery through debt reduction and equity issue

Intrum is undergoing a financial turnaround following a reconstruction process and a planned 7.5 billion SEK equity issue in the summer of 2026. The company has also completed a portfolio sale exceeding 200 million euros, which has helped reduce debt levels.

Interest costs are projected to decrease from approximately 900 million SEK per quarter to around 750 million SEK. Analysts from DNB Carnegie suggest that the market may be underestimating cash generation within the investing segment. The firm has set a price target of 6.40 SEK, noting an asymmetric risk-reward profile, though challenges remain regarding debt refinancing due in 2027 and 2028 and the need for organic growth in certain segments.
