Intuitive Machines wins $600 million satellite communications contract

Intuitive Machines has received an Authorization to Proceed for a multi-satellite communications infrastructure program with an anticipated value exceeding $600 million. The company will be responsible for the design, manufacture, integration, and support of multiple spacecraft intended for geostationary orbit.

The project will utilize the company’s IM-1300 satellite platform, which is designed for missions requiring long-duration communication and operational capabilities. While the specific customer and the exact number of satellites remain confidential at the client's request, the program is described as a critical communications infrastructure mission.

This contract marks an expansion of Intuitive Machines’ operations beyond lunar activities, supporting its strategy to provide integrated space infrastructure through building, connecting, and operating spacecraft and navigation networks for commercial, civil, and national security markets.
