INVAP celebrates 50 years of technological development
INVAP, the state-owned technology company based in Bariloche, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded through the efforts of Conrado Varotto and professionals from the Bariloche Atomic Center, the company has evolved from a research program into a global technological reference.
Over five decades, INVAP has completed more than 1,000 projects, specializing in high-demand sectors such as nuclear reactors, satellites, radar systems, defense technology, and nuclear medicine. The company serves both national and international markets, positioning the Río Negro province as a significant scientific and technological hub.
Río Negro Governor Alberto Weretilneck reaffirmed the province's commitment to maintaining INVAP as a public entity, describing it as a ‘state policy’ that demonstrates the capacity of local professionals to compete in demanding global markets.
