INVAP recognized by Río Negro Legislature for 50th anniversary
The Legislature of Río Negro has unanimously approved a declaration of provincial interest to commemorate the 50th anniversary of INVAP S.A.U., a state-owned company specializing in nuclear, satellite, and defense technology.
During the proceedings, INVAP General Manager Darío Giussi highlighted the company’s unique self-sustaining business model. Unlike many state-owned entities, INVAP operates with a surplus by generating its own resources through national and international contracts. Giussi noted that the company’s profits are reinvested into research and development, allowing it to maintain technological sovereignty and global competitiveness.
Founded in Bariloche, the company has expanded its expertise from its initial roots in nuclear technology to include medical equipment, radars, and communication systems. Giussi emphasized that institutional continuity and political support across different administrations have been vital to the firm’s ability to export high-value-added technology for five decades.
