Inversiones Ortega acquires Helvetia office building in Seville

Helvetia has sold a regionalist office building located at Puerta Jerez 4 in the center of Seville to Inversiones Ortega, the patrimonial company of Juan Manuel Ortega Pareja. Ortega Pareja is the CEO of Rodamientos y Servicios (Royce) and a shareholder of Real Betis Balompié.

Built in 1929 by architect Juan Talavera y Heredia, the approximately 700-square-meter property is a protected architectural asset. The building was previously owned by Caser, which merged with Helvetia in 2025. Following the merger, the insurance group decided to divest from the property.

Due to the protected status of the facade and the lengthy administrative processes required for urban planning licenses, the Ortega family does not currently plan to convert the building into a hotel, as the timeline for permits and construction would impact profitability.
