Investigation After Andrew Haire Found Dead at Dublin Recycling Centre

The body of 35‑year‑old Andrew Haire, a homeless man who had been using welfare and homeless services, was discovered on a Friday in the recycling centre at Clondalkin, Dublin. Gardaí opened a criminal investigation, establishing an incident room at Lucan Garda Station and appointing a senior investigating officer and a family liaison officer. The Garda National Technical Bureau and the Office of the Chief State Pathologist examined the scene and performed a post‑mortem, but the cause of death remains inconclusive.

Haire was known to have moved between Dublin, Kilkenny and Cork in the week before his death. Gardaí have appealed for information from anyone who knew him or saw him during that period, providing contact numbers for Ronanstown Garda Station and the Garda Confidential Line.
