Investigation continues into death of British tourist in Noto

An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death of Benjamin John Braithwaite, a 34-year-old British tourist from Leeds. His body was discovered without clothing in a field in the Piano Milo area, located between Canicattini and Noto, Sicily.

The Prosecutor's Office of Syracuse has appointed a forensic pathologist to conduct the examination, with a 90-day deadline to submit the report. Investigators are currently exploring the hypothesis that the death resulted from an erotic game gone wrong.

Evidence collected at the scene, including a diary containing travel notes and reflections, has been seized. The Carabinieri of Noto are conducting a complex investigation into the victim's movements and contacts in Sicily to clarify the circumstances leading to his death.
