Investigation continues into death of Carlos Ferrel Gilmar in Río Gallegos

Authorities in Río Gallegos are investigating the death of 38-year-old Carlos Ferrel Gilmar, a Bolivian national who died following his apprehension by police forces. Official sources have confirmed that during the intervention to subdue the individual, officers applied a cervical restraint maneuver, a technical detail that is now a central focus for forensic experts and the Instruction Court No. 3.

The incident began on Friday, the 16th, following a distress call from a 10-year-old child at the 'Indio Nicolai' Municipal Gymnasium. The child reported that his stepfather was physically assaulting his mother at their home. Upon entering the residence, officers encountered an individual exhibiting extreme aggression and signs of alcohol intoxication.
