Investigation into Chilean judicial corruption and Colombian contract dispute

In Chile, television host Rafael Araneda has addressed his involvement in a corruption investigation involving former Supreme Court Minister Ángela Vivanco. Investigative reports suggest that Inmobiliaria Alta Vista Pucón, a company in which Araneda was previously a shareholder, transferred approximately $12 million CLP to Gonzalo Migueles, the partner of Vivanco, in May 2023. These transfers allegedly occurred while the real estate firm had pending legal matters before the Supreme Court. Araneda has provided explanations regarding the extent of his past participation in the company.

In Colombia, Carlos Ríos, director of the Dapre and Peace Commissioner, has filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office against cartoonist Julio César González, known as ‘Matador’. The complaint alleges breach of contract regarding a $257 million COP agreement signed in 2024 to socialize the Peace Agreement through caricatures. Ríos claims there are inconsistencies between billing dates, payments, and the actual execution of required activities, such as workshops in PDET municipalities. The allegations include potential crimes such as embezzlement.
