Investigation into Hannah Fry's Death Leads to Arrests in Lancashire

Hannah Fry, a 29‑year‑old mother of two, fell ill suddenly at her home on Meadow Croft in Longridge, Lancashire on 13 July and died despite emergency care. Lancashire Police arrested two men in connection with her death. A 31‑year‑old man was first detained on suspicion of coercive and controlling behaviour and later on suspicion of manslaughter, while a 23‑year‑old man was also arrested and bailed. Both suspects remain under investigation.

Fry’s parents, Kevin and Sarah Harcup, issued a heartfelt tribute describing their daughter as a devoted mother and beloved family member. Police have classified the case as unexplained and a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct has been made, with further enquiries ongoing.
