Investigation launched into suspicious death of high school student in Denizli

An investigation has been launched following the suspicious death of 16-year-old Adile Akyürek, a student at Emine Özcan Anadolu Lisesi in the Çivril district of Denizli.

Akyürek reportedly felt unwell while at school and was subsequently taken by her family to her home in the Pınarbaşı town of Uşak. After retiring to her room to rest, she was found motionless by relatives. Medical teams confirmed she had passed away upon arrival.

Akyürek is the niece of Naci Akyürek, the Mayor of Pınarbaşı. Following her death, Çivril District Governor Fatih Cıdıroğlu visited the high school to offer condolences to teachers and students. The Çivril District Directorate of National Education also issued a formal message of mourning. The exact cause of death remains unknown as authorities continue their investigation.
